Searching for ring-like structures in the cosmic microwave background

In this research, we present an alternative methodology to search for ring-like structures in the sky with unusually large temperature gradients, namely Hawking points (HP), Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB), which are possible observational effects associated Conformal Cyclic Cosmology (CCC). To assess performance of our method, constructed artificial data set HP, according CCC, and were able retrieve $95 \%$ anomalies from it. Furthermore, scanned \textit{Planck} CMB map compared it simulations $\Lambda CDM$, where applied robust statistical tests existence HP. Even though no significant observed, report largest excess HP candidates found at $\alpha = $1\% significance level analyzed maps (CMB 70GHz, SEVEM, SMICA, Commander-Ruler), stress need continue theoretical experimental research direction.
